What does it really mean to be a Black man in America today? Question Bridge: Black Males is a transmedia exhibit that recently toured museums from New York to Oakland with one purpose: explore Black male identity through virtual “conversations among Black men across the geographic, economic, generational, educational and social strata of American society.”
This amazing transmedia “experience” was created by Chris Johnson and Hank Willis Thomas, in collaboration with Bayeté Ross-Smith and Kamal Sinclair. The Executive Producers are Delroy Lindo, Deborah Willis, and Jesse Williams.
Since the project aligns with many of the goals of The Game Changers Project, we decided to meet up with Chris Johnson, the originator of Question Bridge when the exhibit was showing at the Oakland Museum of California in Spring 2012.
